Another London OOTD

Hey my lovelies,
I'm having such a fabulous time in London. I think I have pretty much officially decided that I will be moving to London in October! OMG I'm sooo excited! Just have a feeling this is the right decision to make - I am so ready for this new and exciting chapter of my life.

I only have a few days left in London (I leave again on Friday, poooo) and need to spend the next few days scouting around for job opportunities, wish me luck!

Shopping wise am trying to control myself a little because I need to save money for my big move in a few weeks. But I have bought a few goodies (which I will share when I am back home) plus am loving the make up brands they have here!  When I get back from London I will be doing a giveaway, including some London beauty purchases, to celebrate that I almost have 300 followers! My Faves of the 2010 Emmy's =

On 29 August, the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angelos. I always love checking out all the glamourous outfits. Here are some of my favourite picks from the night:

Claire Danes looked AMAZING in a strapless Armani Privé gown

Think she was my absolute favourite of the event.

Heidi Klum is one "hot mama" in this black, textured mini by Marchesa 

Nina Dobrev from Vampire Diaries in a one-shouldered blush, floral, silk gown from Zuhair Murad's Fall 2010 couture collection. Stunning (wow her waist is teeny tiny right?)

Anna Paquin wore an Alexander McQueen gown, embellished with gold. I like it because it stands out and is a little different.  The bottom isn't super flattering but overall think she looks gorgeous.

Emily Blunt arrived on the red carpet in a one-shouldered Christian Dior gown — and with hubby John Krasinski in tow. Think this lavender dress looks so adorable on her. She looks radiant, pretty and happy! Must be that newly wed glow ;)

So these were my faves! What do you think, do you agree? 

Oh how I'd love to be glammed up to the max & wear a SUPER DUPER expensive dress (matched with million dollar jewellery) for an event like this one day. Oh well a girl can dream right ;)

OOTD - London

Woke up this morning to a lovely sunny day in London! I met up with my friend Louise and we went shopping in Oxford Street where I got some great little purchases (I'll share my purchases when I get back to NL)! We then went for lunch in South Bank, chilled out at her place in the afternoon and in the evening we went for some delicious Spanish tapas and red wine in Clapham, yummmm! I am getting a great vibe from London, love love love it here! Anyways I thought I'd quickly share my OOTD:

Black Tights & new Cinderella leather boots I got in The Hague last week.

I'm super happy with these boots! Shoes for me are always so difficult..I kind of have really bad feet (thanks family genetics, grr) so it's always tricky to find shoes that are actually comfortable to wear. I walked on these little boots all day today and soo comfy - score! :) Tomorrow off to Covent Garden for lunch and probably checking out Notting Hill Carnival. Am off to sleep now, bye bye xoxo

London, yeah baby yeah!

I am currently blogging from my friends flat in London! I left The Hague this morning and took the Eurostar train for a week trip to London. As some of you might know I left NZ a few month's ago to relocate (permanently back) to Europe and London has been the main city on my list of potential new home towns. I wanted to spend a week in London to meet up with friends, check out the city, job market & opportunities and to try to finally make up my mind on where I want to move to for the next chapter of my life around October.

I'm very excited to catch up with friends and browse around the city to get a feel of the real London, plus of course get a bit of shopping in while I am here too (hehe).  Any tips for some must-do's; beside the typical touristy stuff?

A little late but WORTH the wait!

Yes, I finally finally got my hands on Chanel Particulière! 

When I was in NZ it had sold out everywhere and they were waiting on new stock. Then since arriving & traveling around Europe I had been checking so many stores to look for this much wanted nail polish but with no luck. I had pretty much given up all hope! Then all of a sudden last week, I was in de Bijenkorf (a high end Dutch department store) and was casually strolling around the beauty department, as you do, and there in the corner of my eye...IT WAS! Just sitting there....I couldn't believe my luck, so I just had to get it. Ok it costs €21.50, which is not exactly cheap. But hey it's worth it & I am now officially part of the cool crowd LOL

The stunning mushroom-hued colour is so gorgeous & sophisticated and the polish applies like a dream. Thank you Chanel! Also, I am already secretly admiring the new nail Les Khakis De Chanel collection which is due to come out September 10 at New York Fasion week! 
Shown below from left to right, the collection includes: Khaki Rose, Khaki Vert and Khaki Brun.

I am going to take a wild guess here but I have a strong feeling that Khaki Vert is going to be the new “it” shade!

It's on my lust list for sure :) xoxo

Amsterdam Shopping Haul

On Wednesday I spend the day browsing the shops in Amsterdam because I was going to catch up with a friend for dinner in the evening. Now that I have been back in The Netherlands for a few weeks I'm really starting to see the country again with fresh eyes and am gaining a new found appreciation. It's such a beautiful place :) 

The city was pretty busy (but it always seems to be) and Amsterdam has a fantastic variety of shops. I ended up buying most of my purchases at River Island, I really love that shop! Check out my new clothes below:

I didn't bring an autumn in between jacket with me from NZ to Europe so needed something to keep me a little warmer in the colder days. Love the woolen collar, which also can be removed.

I've been looking for a key chain necklace for a while. Ideally I'd like to have the Tiffany & Co one but my budget doesn't stretch that far at the moment haha so I got this one for €9 instead.

I also got 2 new MAC eyeshadows:

& Charcoal Brown (muted taupe brown, matte)

NOTD: French Baby Pink

When I was in Italy I bought a nail polish by the Italian brand KIKO Cosmetics. They had a range of 76 nail lacquer colours. I chose one in the French Manicure range called "French Baby Pink" (209).
What KIKO promises: "Nail polish with a hardening and strengthening action. The gel texture provides extreme lacquered shine and the ideal fluidity for perfect control when applying and extremely easy application. Special resins make it easier for pigments to stick to the nail, creating a resistant and elastic film that, thanks to anti-wear active ingredients, extends the life and brilliance of the colour" 

This is my NOTD in French Baby Pink. I really like the soft pink colour , the application was a breeze (I actually applied it while in the backseat of the car this weekend whilst driving to visit my Grandma!) and so far it's lasted really well without chipping. For only €1.90 I feel this lacquer is a real bargain with great quality, damn now wish I had bought some more colours..

Apricot Souffle %

Whilst browsing the shops in the city a few weeks back, I found out that they have a small Sephora shop based in one of NL's department chain stores. I absolutely LOVE Sephora in the States because it's just like a little heaven for a cosmetics addict like me ;) Anyways the Sephora department here in The Hague is pretty small but still sells their own brand Sephora, Benefit & Too Faced which is fabulous. 
Of course I couldn't resist a little purchase so I got the Sephora Super Shimmer Lipgloss in "Apricot Soufflé".

I have been wearing this gloss most days on my holiday and just love it! 
It's a perfect natural, slightly peachy pink lip gloss with multi-holographic shimmers & a yummy apricot taste. 

Think I might  have to check out what other colours they have in this lip gloss. Any recommendations?

Guess who's back, back again?

Roz is back, tell a friend :) !!! I have safely returned 'home' (to The Hague) after a very relaxing 4 week holiday around Europe. We ended up visiting Titisee & the Black Forest (in south Germany), Lake Lugano (in south Switzerland), Verona, Vicenza, Padova, Venice, Ravenna, Bologna & Lago Maggiore (in Italy), Koper, Piran & Izola (in Slovenia), Rovinje, Porec, Pula & Zagreb (in Croatia), Ljubljana, Dovje & Kranjska Gora in the Slovenian Alps and finally Interlaken & the Swiss Alps. Sooo as so you can I covered a lot of ground in 4 weeks. However it was still very relaxing and fun. I visited many cities, did hiking in the mountains, read about 7 books, worked on my tan and of course also managed to get a bit of shopping done :p 


I have to admit though that it is lovely to be back in the world of communication again; oh how I missed my MAC book and the internet! I'm very happy that I can now catch up on all my favourite blogs & of course start blogging again myself! For today to kick off my return to the world of Dutchessroz I will just post a quick FOTD & OOTD :)
