Koala Bear-y NOTD

Morning morning, it is Monday again which means back to the daily grind for me after such an amazing weekend in London! Of course it was my birthday weekend and therefore had many fun celebrations and good times with my friends. Pictures will follow of the good times and presents :)
But for now just sharing a quick nail of the day:

This is OPI Nail Lacquer in 'Koala Bear-y'
Love this raspberry pink/fuchsia shade. Perfect for summer :)

Think this nail polish was part of OPI's Summer 2007 Australian collection. The formula of this polish is a cremé, meaning there is no shimmer or glitter. It's pretty much opaque in one coat, which is great! And sooooo shiny. Definitely loving this polish, looking at my nails just makes me smile and brightens my day :) Hope you all had a lovely weekend too xoxo Roz 

Estee Lauder - Pure Colour Sensuous Rouge

Estee Lauder has just launched a brand new collection of lipsticks; so thought I’d do a little review on them! Creative makeup director Tom Pecheux has designed a fantastic new lipstick range based on a ‘core within a core’ technology. What this means is that the Pure Color Sensuous Rouge Lip Color delivers the benefit of two different formula’s, in one single swipe. The lovely moisturising lipstick comes with a creamy pigmented colour on the outside but contains a lip-loving luscious center on the inside. This soft core nourishes your lips, provides rich moisture, shine and protects them from drying out.

Pure Colour Sensuous Rouge is available in 11 luscious shades.

Nudes/Browns: Nude Affair, Sensuous Nude, Sublime Nectar
Pink/Berry: Enticing Fuchsia, Rose Exposed, Pink Seduction

 

Mauve/Plum: Blossom Tease, Lavish Quartz, Wistful Wisteria, Orchid Surrender

Nude Affair is my go-to nude day lipstick at the moment. Such a nice shade.

Pink seduction is also a super cute soft pink!

But have to say my absolute fave is Peach Pleasure. Am loving peachy, orangy tints at the moment so think this shade is right on trend and the perfect pop of colour for summer without being too full on!

The lipsticks contain an exotic blend of fruit extracts, including red raspberry seed oil, passionfruit, murumuru and shea butters. They also have a delicious warm vanilla scent. The buttery-smooth texture is soft on your lips, and it provides medium-to-full, buildable coverage. I have to say 'I like, I like' :)

The collection launches in August 2011, at selected Estee Lauder stores, as well as online at esteelauder.co.uk. All shades are priced at £20.00.

So you might have spotted that today’s Happy Hump Day message is in the spirit of birthdays….because….well, it is my birthday tomorrow :) I can’t believe I am turning 27 already because my last birthday seems like yesterday (read that post here). The Dr. Suess quote does embody how I feel these days. It's so true that there is only one you in this world and that you should learn to be happy to be YOU, because you are unique. With every year that passes by I can say I feel more comfortable in my own skin, my confidence grows and I realise that I'm so fortunate to live the life I lead.

So yes, I am what I am! Which is a great thing to be! So I will say to myself, Happy Birthday To Me!”

Casual Glam Outfit =

A few weeks ago I went for a fun weekend trip to Stockholm and while there I picked up a few new items! Check them out in this outfit post:

I spotted this jacket at ZARA in Stockholm and immediately fell in love with it & knew I had to have it! It's a lovely stylish blazer, that can glam up any casual outfit. It's got this cool rough woven fabric that has a mix of colours like silver, grey, white, a little gold plus even a tiny pink/orange thread which means you can wear it with lots of different outfits. I think the blazer looks very classic and expensive and it even reminds me a bit of designs by Isabel Marant.

I struggled to photograph the true colours of the fabric but hope this gives you an idea. Love the zips too, they give the jacket that bit of an edge! I wore this outfit recently when I was back home catching up a friend in Amsterdam, doing some shopping and afterwards we headed to a drinks party at a friends house.

Am a little annoyed with myself however; when I tried on the black pants in Stockholm they fitted like a glove and I was like woooohooo BUT see this is my usual error! I should not buy pants that fit perfectly in the store, because (duh roz) pants stretch! Urgh, so I really love these trousers but now after wearing them 2-3 times, they've become all loose and saggy boohooo :( Will I ever learn?
