Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Capri Collection

Yes it’s that time of the year again where in the lead up to summer, Estée Lauder launches their annual Bronze Goddess collection! I absolutely love their Bronze Goddess products so was very excited to get to preview the 2012 collection last month in London. You can read my review of the 2011 Bronze Goddess ‘Soleil’ Collection here (link) This years collection was inspired by the seductive beauty of the Isle of Capri.
The Capri makeup look is sexy yet sophisticated including warm, glimmering gold and metallic hues and sun-kissed tones, complemented by rich brown and bright white. I think the collection definitely captures the feeling of summer, can please take me on a holiday there now?? ;)

Every year the collections includes their popular ‘Bronze Goddess’ fragrance plus a brand new limited edition. The Bronze Goddess Capri fragrance has a gorgeous warm summery but fresh scent which reminds me of being on holidays by the ocean.

The fragrance includes top notes of Lemon Leaves, Mandarin and Cassis, heart notes of Peony and Jasmine Samabac and base notes of creamy vanilla, amber wood, patchouli and musk.

 I adore the smell and also love the styling of the bottle. On recent sunny days I have sprayed myself with the stuff to get me in summer spirit and I am definitely packing this for my sunshine holidays this year.

Also in the Bronze Goddess Capri collection in the Pure Colour Illuminating Powder Gelee in Shimmering sands which is a gorgeous bronze shimmer powder for a beautiful warm sun-kissed glow. With clever prisma shine technology, featuring a tri-brid formula of liquid, powder and gel, the luminescent formula delivers a naturally radiant finish.

You can apply the product dry (as bronzer or highlight) or wet for a more vibrant look for example as an eye shadow or blended out on your collarbones for a sexy golden glow on your chest area.

Another standout item from this collection for me would be the limited edition Five Color Gelee Powder EyeShadow Palette in Bronze Sands. I love last years eyeshadow palette from the Bronze Goddess Soleil collection (read my review here) and I use it all the time! I like using a bronze/golden shade all over the lid and then popping a bright blue on my lower lash line.

Way to Glow #

A gorgeous glowing complexion is a beauty desire for many of us girls. Especially in these cold winter months when your skin is not in the glowing mood all on its own. Therefore we can all do with a little help from beauty products to achieve beautiful radiant skin.I have tried a few products over the years (one of my favourites is Benefit High Beam; review here) and think it’s quite hard to find a product that gives you the right amount of glow without messing up your foundation or leaving a glittery mess behind on your cheekbones. But I recently discovered this gorgeous compact by Collection 2000 and I just love it!Their Shimmer Shades compact in Way to Glow contains four merged blocks that combine shimmer with shade for a multi-tonal and natural blend of colour. The combination of shimmering peach and golden bronze shades instantly lifts and illuminates your skin. On the left are swatches of each individual block and on the right the bronzed glow it provides when blended together. The Way-to-Glow compact also contains a skin-brightening formula to enhance natural skin colour so be prepared to dazzle! ;)

For my perfect radiant glow I work product from all four colour cubes into a bronzing brush and sweep it lightly over my cheekbones. For an overall sun-kissed look you can also apply the shimmery shades to your brows bone, forehead and neckline.
Plus I've used the individual peach shade as a blusher on the apples of my cheek sometimes too!

Bronze summery night look with a pop of aqua! #

Hey my lovelies,

This is another look of the night from my holiday in the Amalfi Coast back in August (pictures here).

We had been at the beach all day and I felt like a bronzed, summery and fun look! I wore this zebra/tiger like kaftan which has a lovely bright blue stone on it so I decided to incorporate the blue into my makeup too :)

The kaftan I bought about 3 years ago while on holiday in greece. It's more of a beach cover-up really and therefore very see-through, but when you match it with a nude slip underneath it's suitable for a summery evening out.  The hair...quite messy after a day at the beach so decided to braid the front to deal with the 'out of control' side fringe.
