MAC Reflects Antique Gold is one of my favourite MAC Pro products! The shade is a beautiful dusty brown gold glitter that looks like diamonds on your lids. This glitter is more fine milled than MAC's regular glitters and therefore manages to look more 'natural' and gives your eyes an elegant 'bling' factor instead of looking like cheap chunky child-like glitter.

You do need a good base to apply the glitter onto to ensure it sticks. I often use use a MAC Paintpot  (Blackground in this look, but you can use any kind of creamy based eyeshadow) on the lid and then gently pat the glitter with my finger op top. Yes there will be some fall out, but hey it's glitter you are working with so that is to be expected.  You can also use this glitter as a eyeliner or all over eyeshadow for a more 'foiled' look if you apply it wet with a mixing medium (like MAC Fix+).

I just adore this glitter! It adds a very sparkly amazing pop to your eyes and a little added pretty WOW factor for a night out :) I used to buy 1/4 teaspoon samples online (via eBay) of the glitter until I managed to order a full sized jar in via a pro MAC store. A little goes a long way so even a small sample will last you ages and I am sure my full sized jar will provide me with a lifetime full of sparkle!

Blue Smokey Eye FOTN $

A couple of weekends ago I went out for dinner and a few drinks (and ok maybe a boogie too!) in South Kensington with some friends. Back in September I'd bought this navy, lacy and slightly sparkly lowcut back dress from Trafaluc by ZARA so I decided a blue smokey eye would accompany this look perfectly.

This is very much a 'stay-in-place' kind of foundation and I love wearing this when I'm going out.
It provides great smooth coverage and stays on perfectly all night long!

Estee Lauder – Pure Color Eyeshadow Duo in Clouds using the light blue colour on the inner corner of my eye until about half way and then applying the darker navy on the rest of the lid and working up into the crease/outer V and blending in the socket towards the brow.
MAC Wedge eyeshadow - I used this a little bit to soften the socket/crease to blend it all together
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack along the waterline and upper lashline
NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara applied (top & bottom) after curling my eyelashes

Bronze summery night look with a pop of aqua! #

Hey my lovelies,

This is another look of the night from my holiday in the Amalfi Coast back in August (pictures here).

We had been at the beach all day and I felt like a bronzed, summery and fun look! I wore this zebra/tiger like kaftan which has a lovely bright blue stone on it so I decided to incorporate the blue into my makeup too :)

The kaftan I bought about 3 years ago while on holiday in greece. It's more of a beach cover-up really and therefore very see-through, but when you match it with a nude slip underneath it's suitable for a summery evening out.  The hair...quite messy after a day at the beach so decided to braid the front to deal with the 'out of control' side fringe. A night out in Public $

Hey everyone,
Back in August, during my 'birthday celebrations weekend' (Omg I can't believe that's already a month ago) me and my friend Lulu went out for a night of fun in Chelsea. We were meeting some friends at a nightclub called Public, which is usually pretty hard to get into (unless you book a table!) but because we knew some people that were already inside, we were able to smooth talk our way in - YAY!

Makeup wise I went for a grey shimmery smokey eye:

I created this look using my Bobbi Brown Chrome Palette but you could easily copy this shimmery grey eye with any other grey and silvery eyeshadows (for example with Urban Decay Gunmetal e/s or MAC Pandemonium e/s)

Forget makeup however, more importantly was my outfit of the night!!! I'd been out and about shopping with Lulu that same day in Notting Hill and after lunch at one of my favourite places; Nicole Fahri's '202' cafe we browsed around the amazing shop that is in the basement of the cafe. This shop sells the most beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories but it's more window shopping because the stuff they sell is normally quite a bit above my price range. BUT on this occasion we spotted a sales rack....and in this sales rack was this amazing dress.....Ok I think you can tell where I am going with this.....I just had to try it on and yes..again you guessed it - I just HAD to buy it because it looked so-so good! These were Lulu's words not mine, but hey who was I to disagree? haha.

OK now to the shock factor of this little story....the original price of the dress was........are you ready.......£660!!!! Yes I would call that MEGA expensive, eeeeeek! Thank goodness the dress was on sale and discounted by 70% which made it £198. Still not cheap I know, but I just loved it so much I felt it was an 'opportunity' I couldn't resist. Bet you are curious about this dress now!

The dress is from an Italian brand called DROMe that specialise in leather fashion! The dress I got is a grey/metallic snake-print fitted leather dress with capped sleeves, a round next and back zip fastening.

We had such a fun silly night out! The music was great so we boogied the night away and met this group of crazy guys that were on a stag do and which were a right laugh :)
We even did the world famous......

LOL! Looking back on these pics now brings back such fun memories but also makes me miss my Lulu which is back in the Netherlands and me in London!  I say she should visit again soon, do you? ;) xoxo

A night to remember..

On my holiday in Italy I had many great evenings, but one night me and my friend went out for a super 'romantic' dinner at Cafe Positano. This is an lovely restaurant, located higher in the town of Positano. Sitting on the outdoor terrace you can admire the splendid panorama of Positano.  

This is what I wore for our evening out :)

I got this dress in London from the shop Oliver Bonas; but the dress is actually from the brand Vera Moda. I was just browsing with a friend and spotted it in the sales rack, pulled it out, had to try it on and was blown away by it. Lucky me it was the perfect size and only £19! I love how it is long, chiffon, flowy. It has little ruffles at the front neckline and a low V shaped back.  

Makeup wise I used my trusted Urban Decay Naked Palette:

I applied the shade 'Toasted' all over the lid, then on the outer third and lower lash line I applied 'Gunmetal' and I used a mix of 'Buck' and 'Naked' to blend out and soften the crease. Some black eyeliner in the water line and a bit of mascara on the lower lashes (still loving my lash extensions!) On my cheeks I am wearing NARS Orgasm and on my lips a Lancome Juicy Tube in Marshmallow Electro.  The earrings were a birthday gift by a friend of mine - she got them for me in St Tropez!

The whole restaurant was filled with couples and then me & my girlfriend. 

But you know what, I had the best night with her and wouldn't change it for the world :)

We'll always have Paris =

I'm still dreaming of my amazing time in Paris last weekend! So I thought I'd share my outfit and makeup of one night out partying in Paris. Me and my friend got ready at her place (me doing our makeup of course) and then we headed out to cafe Germain in the 6th arrondissement of the city.  There we had champagne, some dinner and my all time favourite dessert in the whole world! 

Which is.....moelleux au chocolat. It's also known as chocolate fondant or chocolate lava cake. Basically me + warm runny chocolate cake served with a dollop of cold icecream = a very very very happy Roz!

Because it had been such a lovely sunny day I decided to wear a short bright dress with gold makeup:

I used the Urban Decay NAKED palette to create my look that evening. I applied half baked all over the lid and then used smog in the crease and along my lower lash line. Followed by black winged liquid eye liner and a few coats of NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara (which I am loving at the moment!) I finished off my golden look with Estee Lauder Lipgloss in Impulsive Coral (#20)

Soft Grey Smokey EOTN $

About two weeks ago I was so lucky to have an opportunity to get all glammed up for a black-tie dinner out in the countryside. The company I work for had organised two amazing 'Away Days' for all their employees and partners at the b-e-a-u-tiful Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. I love this bright blue dress. I got it about 3-4 years ago when I was on holiday in Noosa (Australia). It's by Zimmermann, an Australian swimwear & fashion designer. Also if you are wondering, wow roz your hair is looking really long.....well it's because I cheated :) I recently found my old clip-in hair extensions again and decided to give my hair that little bit extra oomph and length for the night, do you like?? xoxo

It was such a fun night out! Great music so definitely had a boogie! Here some more photos of us girls...

Spot anything different about me in these photos? Well, yes, I had a haircut! However, if I am honest, I'm not really happy with it because I came out with more of an actual fringe, rather than a deep side fringe...Also when going out that night I was a bit frustrated with my hair because he'd styled the fringe to the opposite side that I normally wear it and it was just annoying me the whole time. Think ill be growing it out a little (hopefully that won't take that long) and then i'll get it re-cut to more side, blended style. Outfit wise I am wearing a new dress that I recently got at Zara for only £29.99. Little Red Riding Hood

A few weeks back one of my close girlfriends in London had her flat warming party and in true antipodean style, they decided to made it a themed dress up party! I absolutely love dress up parties, it makes house parties a lot more fun, especially when people make a proper effort to create or make costumes! The theme for her housewarming was 'Animated Antics' which meant "if you were an animated character who or what would you be?" It took me a while to decide what to dress up as because couldn't think of many cartoon characters I admired growing up...(I wasn't allowed to watch much TV when I was little haha). So in the end I chose to go as a fairy-tale  character: Little Red Riding Hood! Here some photos taken on the night:

People made a real effort with their costumes which was so awesome! We had carebears, snow white, wilma flintstones, jem & the holograms, ariel & sebastian, minnie mouse and many more!  Such a fun night! Here is my Face Of The Night as Little Red Riding Hood:

Because I wanted to wear a shiny red lip, I decided on natural eye make up but then glamourised with big fluttery eye lashes! I used Ardell fake lashes, which I have only recently discovered. Their Babies Black lashes come as a set with their own little glue sachet. They feature an invisible, lightweight band that connects the hair strands to form a strip that ensures secure corners. They are knotted and feathered by hand, reusable, easy to apply, comfortable to wear and made of 100% human hair. I really liked the effect as it looked natural yet gave my eyes that extra little sexy spikey pop! These lashes are priced at £5.10. I would definitely recommend Ardell Lashes. Also they have a massive range of fake lashes; I can't wait to try some different styles! Ladies Night

Hi Ladies
On Monday night me and my friend went out in Abu Dhabi for "Ladies Night". It's crazy, many bars there will have a ladies night a certain evening and what does this mean...?? Free drinks for girls!! Champagne, wine or sometimes even cocktails. On Saturday I went out for a great night out with my girls!
