Fashion Week OOTD & Pizza East Portobello

As part of a recent impulse shopping spree (see here) I also got a lovely mint singlet. This is the item that actually drew me into the shops in the first place because I am just loving everything in this colour at the moment! Here a simple outfit of the day with my new singlet, which I wore for my day backstage at London Fashion Week, but more posts about that are to follow.

After being in the city for Fashion week I headed back to Notting Hill where I met some friends for lunch at Pizza East on Portobello Road. This is the West London 'little sister' restaurant of the very popular original modern pizzeria in Shoreditch.  For you Londoners out there...I definitely recommend you pay this restaurant a visit! They do the most delicious pizza's and it's a great hip and buzzy place. 

Between the four of us we ordered three pizza's and they were are all UH-mazing! 

The pizza on the right is their 'Pork Belly' pizza.....which actually comes with CRACKLING!!!!

Wowzers, talk about a heart-attack meal but hey it was sooooo worth it......de-li-ci-ous :)

A little impulse shopping...

The other day after walking home from the gym, on the way to the supermarket, I somehow found myself getting distracted by just 'popping' into H&M and ZARA for a quick browse. Why? No idea but  somehow I felt compelled to do a little impulse shopping. I grabbed a couple of things and without even trying them on I just bought them!!

The next day I tried them all on and have to say am very happy with my speedy purchases...

I have wanted a simple white cable knit for a while now and for this price I felt it was a bargain!

Cant wait to wear this with say mint jeans (my new obsession) and my Alexander McQueen scarf.

Every day basic 'must have'! I also bought a bright coloured (yes..maybe it's aqua/mint...) singlet from H&M but this will feature in an upcoming OOTD post :)

I already have this singlet in white and it is one of my favourites so decided to grab it in these two neutral colours which will go with many outfits.

Fashion must have: the denim shirt

When I was in Oslo I found myself a very simple but, a fashion must have; aka the denim shirt. 
I like to pair my blue demin shirt with black skinnies, my "leather" pants or even my red coloured jeans.
Here is a recent outfit of the day:

I love my denim shirt because it is super comfortable and so easy to wear! The denim shirt is such a versatile and timeless staple for any girl’s wardrobe. For an edgy, rocky look pair the shirt with leather pants or a leather skirt or for a more girly look pair it with a soft maxi or floral skirt. You can easily dress it down for day time with a t-shirt and leggings or dress it up with a smart blazer for a classy but fun evening look. Plus don’t be afraid to wear denim with denim, because double denim is no longer a fashion ‘faux-pas’ as long as the washes are different!

Plus I added my favourite scarf to wear at the moment; a pink tube scarf from PIECES.

It's super comfy and adds that fab POP of colour to any outfit! :)

I think if you invest in the right denim shirt then this is one piece in your closet that not only will never go out of style but you can wear again and again! Do you have a denim shirt and is yes; how do you wear yours?

Metallic Kimono Outfit Post =

Ever since I saw Laura in this metallic kimono on her blog 'Buy now, Blog Later' I was keen to get my little paws onto it! Kimono cardigans are pretty on trend at the moment so when I spotted this little beauty in ZARA whilst shopping in Nice and tried it on, I was sold. 

This weekend I had my friends round for flat warming drinks in Notting Hill and I wanted a casual but fun evening look so I decided to wear my new kimono :)

Actually a funny story is that when I returned from Nice and I showed my flatmate my kimono purchase, it turned out she recently had bought the exact same one, wooops! Haha oh well it shows we both have fab taste right? Now we do just need to make sure we don't wear it at the same time ;) 

Here some more pics of me at my flat warming drinks which shows you the proper colour of the kimono a little better. It's a mix between silver and gold and so comfortable to wear.

I'm loving my new metallic kimono because it's so easy to throw on with jeans or a LBD to add that little bit of sparkle! What do you think of the Kimono trend? xoxo

First days of autumn OOTD

After enjoying an amazing Indian summer here in London, autumn has now officially started.

To brave the slightly colder temperature outside I added my green parka that I got last autumn from H&M (as seen here). This jacket is the perfect cover-up for this time of the year plus it has a hidden hood which is great for those un-expected moments when you get caught out in the rain! I have started to packed away some of my summer clothes and geting the autumn & winter wardrobe ready, have you? xoxo

Belle journee a Paris OOTD #

As you know I was in Paris last weekend so I thought I'd share a quick OOTD post from a lovely day out and about in this stunning city! I spotted this little summery striped dress at H&M a few days before heading to Paris and thought it would be perfect for a summery Parisian day :) 

Dress: navy & white striped gently flared jersey dress with decorative ties at the shoulders and a gathered neckline. Drawstring at the waist with decorative beads. Get it online now at H&M here for £12.99

These photos were taken around the Montmartre area! This area is primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit and as a nightclub district (where the famous Moulin Rouge is!)

This is me on the Rue Foyatier, one of the many famous streets in Paris, because it consists essentially of flights of stairs given access to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. The Montmartre funicular runs alongside it!

Spring time in London#

Yay on Saturday it was a such a nice sunny spring day in London! At the moment I'm really into my pink and coral colours - love them, they make me feel so summery and girlie :)

On this nice day I ended up meeting a friend for a yummy brunch in South Kensington and afterwards we strolled through Hyde Park and enjoyed a beverage there whilst soaking up some rays in the sun lounges!

 It was a little windy so I teamed my outfit with a ZARA grey blazer.

Loving my over the knee boots!

I recently picked up this AMAZING bargain at the sales; brand new, leather, over the knee, flat boots from Oasis. At what price? You wouldn't guess it.....£20!! I couldn't believe it when I spotted them on the shop floor tucked away somewhere and I was beyond excitement when I realised they actually had 1x pair left in my size (38/UK5) Wooop woop! I can't stop wearing them at the moment, perfect paired with leggings, skirts, dresses, jeans...well everything really! Here a recent OOTD with my new boots ♥

H&M Shoping Haul

Oh how I adore London shopping! I recently checked out the fabulous new One New Change Shopping Centre in Central London and just loved it. I was so lucky to be there whilst everyone else in the city was slaving away at their desks (this being one big bonus about being unemployed, haha) so it was very quiet - which is very rare anywhere around London at this time of the year. They also had an H&M in the 'mall' which was SUPER quiet. It was a strange put very pleasuring experience. I ended up picking up the following goodies:

Wraparound dress with gathers at the shoulders & removable elasticated belt with metal buckle. I ♥ the colours of this dress and think it will be great to wear out with heels, boots and tights or even to work with a black blazer as pictured (blazer by ZARA) You can get this dress on SALE online here now at H&M for only £7.99!

Bright red figure-fit jacket with small puffy sleeves & a hook-and-eye fastening at the front. They also had it in black but I liked the bright red, especially for the holiday season! This cropped blazer is part of H&M's Holiday 2010 Collection and available online here now for £29.99. 

Left: A simple black knit roll neck jumper/dress which can be worn with jeans or leggings. Perrrfect for this cold snowy (!!) weather. Middle & Right: warm long sleeved  v-necked knit dress (just above the knee length) in black. Sorry the photo is a little dark so you can't see the nice knit detailing in the skirt part very well. I will wear this dress casually with boots & tights/leggings and can be accessorized with belts, scarves and cardi's. (Both items were UK Size 8 at  £14.99 each)

I also found these tan (or they seem to call it cognac brown LOL) imitation leather ankle boots with side zip and satin lining for only £7.99! I liked the nice and sturdy not too high (8cm) heel. Check them out online here.

Beach # OOTD

Hi lovelies,

Yesterday was beautiful sunny autumn day in The Netherlands. As much as it saddens me that summer is pretty much over I actually quite like the autumn season (when it's not raining that is!) haha. The change of colour from the trees and leaves everywhere, it's so pretty. I enjoyed a lovely breezy walk in the sunshine @ Katwijk beach with a dear friend of mine. The beach in Holland is one of my favourite places to go for a walk, chat and blow out in the wind :) Sharing my outfit of the day.
